Historic Mansion Wedding | the Trimble's

Not models but they could + should be

A million things I could say about Matt + Celene and their incredible day, but I always end up just saying WOWEE. These are two of the most classy human beings I’ve ever met with the kindest hearts. I was THRILLED that my calendar was open for the date they selected. Matt is a Marine and had limited options for when he was able to come back home. They had about 100 guests, mostly family, and they made me feel like I belonged. I adore both of their families and have come to be somewhat the family photographer HA. I met the Trimble’s when I took some newborn shots for the cutie son belonging to the eldest sibling Lindsay (who is an amazing photographer herself, check her out). Matt has a TWIN brother named Cole, both serving in the military and BOTH got married within a few months of one another to the sweetest gals around (had the pleasure of shooting both weddings, can you believe it). I could go on and on about how much I love these people.

Matt + Celene’s wedding was just as stunning as they are (I mean, look at them. You’ll see). With the antique furniture and cozy feel, The Vrooman Mansion was the perfect location for the classic vibe they were going for. Some of my favorite details + moments of the day: Every single groomsmen was a part of the military and in uniform for the event. They rigged the bouquet + garter tosses to end up in the hands of Cole + Blair (Matt’s twin + Best Man and his now, wife). The rain letting up during blue hour just long enough for us to snag some gorgeous portraits of Matt + Celene (Celene had a cute little fur coat for the occasion). And overall, just how selfless + loving these two were with one another and their guests (me included!). They ate last because they were busy thanking all of their guests for coming, how amazing is that? Still blown away that I got to be a part of this day <3

Asked Matt + Celene some questions about their day and this is what they said…

How would you describe the style/vibe of your wedding?
The Vrooman Mansion was perfect for the timeless, vintage style that Matt and I both love.  I loved the cozy, intimate vibe of having a small wedding.

What drew you to your venue?
The elegance and uniqueness of the Vrooman Mansion really drew us in.  It feels like stepping back in time to the late 1800’s. A huge plus is that the owners of the Vrooman were a joy and ease to work with as well.  We couldn’t have asked for a better venue.

What were some of your favorite details or moments of the day?
One of our favorite moments was right before we said our vows. My cousin, who officiated our wedding, wanted us to look into the crowd and see all of our family and friends who shaped us into the people we are and supported us as a couple. We really loved taking the moment to appreciate the support of our amazing family and friends.

What advice do you have for couples planning their wedding?
We really tried to check as much off our to do list as possible leading up to our wedding weekend.  This gave us some extra time to relax and enjoy the company of our family and friends. It also really helped me to make lists. This kept me organized on what I needed to pack and get done.  It helps take some of the stress off and kept my mind less cluttered.  Enjoy you and your spouse’s special day! It happens in the blink of an eye!
